After the success of the Lisbon meeting in 2003, we have enjoyed on organizing a congress worthy of the ambitions of the MGSD. These objectives are to encourage high-level scientific content by inviting leading specialists and by dealing with specific Mediterranean topics that meet the expectations of all participating countries. We have therefore chosen essential emerging themes for countries of the South and North of the Mediterranean.
